Fieldwork Manager

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Fieldwork Manager to join the Hobart office. Reporting to the Managing Director of EMRS the role will manage and oversee the activities of Market research interviewers on specific market research projects, including being responsible for the quality of the output, the training, and the productivity of the field team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and motivate the fieldwork supervisors. Regularly review performance, identify training needs and where applicable plan training sessions.

  • Lead on recruitment and onboarding activities for new fieldwork interviewers

  • Ensure compliance with policies and performance standards.

  • Plan, organise and direct all fieldwork operations, ensuring project timelines and data collection targets are met.

  • Manage all fieldwork projects including online fieldwork.

  • Assist with costing fieldwork activities.

Skills and Experience Required

  • 3+ year experience working as market research supervisor.

  • Demonstrable experience in motivating and coaching others.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail including a high level of accuracy in analysing information.

  • Strong proficiency in using MS Excel, including the transfer of data outputs.

  • Familiarity with call centre survey platforms and automatic diallers systems (Forsta Sytel preferred).
